Experience: A Floral Jubilee

Last weekend I went to see the Exhibition "The Art of Jubilee: The Art of Louise Cochran,"at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts.  Louise Cochran's work was so really capturing, mostly because of her understated mark mixed with her understated mark made every image seem so soft and purpose.  I loved the way that most of her paintings seemed completely effortless.  Personally that kind of mark is SO HARD to get because I always end up overworking the mark.  While I have a great appreciation of how much skill and perception these paintings require, some of them appeared to be a bit too understated in my own opinion.
