Awareness: Water

Artist of  "The Water Series" Matt Story creates incredibly realistic oil paintings of underwater photographs. While my own personal project is nothing like hyper realistic oil painting, these paintings are simply incredible. The way that Story translates the light and abstraction of the form when crossed over the line between water and air is so spot on and so detailed that it almost scares me. My favorite part of this is the use of highlights to clearly illustrate the light in the picture and how it plays on the form of the body.
